Autonomous Systems Research: Working together to rise to the challenge of autonomous flight
True autonomy is a leap beyond the automation of basic functions, such as waypoint navigation. Autonomy implies independence and intelligence - the ability to sense, interpret, decide and act without external control. This is at the forefront of current robotics research.
Blue Bear has considerable expertise in the development of autonomous algorithms, simulation and modeling of combined air and ground systems and development of real systems with autonomous behaviors. A number of these systems were demonstrated during the MoD Grand challenge event in which Blue Bear were a pivotal member of the winning team. See news.
The development of a truly autonomous system is a challenge subject to many constraints, both technical and regulatory. By drawing on our considerable expertise our customers can face the autonomy challenge head on.
